Events

No Scotland, no party.

Highland games, music festivals and the True North.

Aberdeen's event calendar runs year-round: Highland games in the summer, True North festival in September, Granite Noir crime-writing in February and the Spectra light festival lighting up Union Street each winter.

Aberdeen festivals

Spectra (February) turns the city into an outdoor light gallery. Granite Noir brings the world's best crime writers. NuArt paints Aberdeen's granite with world-class street art. True North in September is one of Scotland's most loved music festivals.

Highland games and country events

The Braemar Gathering in early September is attended by the Royal family. Aboyne, Lonach and Ballater Highland Games run through the summer and are world-class days out for families.

P&J Live and AECC

P&J Live, the city's flagship arena, hosts touring artists, comedy and major sporting events year-round.
